Reyn Spooner the leader and synonymous Hawaiian print for Tshirts design since 1956

Reyn Spooner is an American fashion design company founded in 1956 by Reyn McCullough, When he took part in relationship with Ruth Spooner. The first name of the company was Reyns Men's wear on the island of Catalina The store was founded by Reyn McCullough, who realized Hawaiian shirt print with a more stylish alternative to be well for professional and casual wear.
Each and every product we sell is designed in Hawaii and deeply informed by the history, people, culture, legacy and stories of the Pacific.
In 1962, Reyn McCullough cooperated with Ruth Spooner to ensure consistent quality and decided to merge  2 company names to create Reyn Spooner both in Honolulu and Catalina. Setting up four sewing machines in the basement of his Ala Moana store He began to create Aloha apparel, the Hawaiian print clothing. Reyn began to work on something that not only reflected the island heritage through stylish prints, but also benefited the young professionals who worked in the islands and shopped at his store.

This online retailer began to grow and then decided to go international in 1974. The company started shipping Aloha apparel to Japan, Australia, Canada and other international locations.
In 1996, Reyn Spooner teamed up with "lifestyle-artist" Eddy Y. to create shirts featuring original Eddy Y. artwork.
In 2010 Opening Ceremony teams up with Reyn Spooner for taking the printed t shirt design to the heights of casual American classic. That team combines Reyn’s 60’s sophistication with a modern Opening Ceremony feel, A new journey begins for Reyn Spooner with the debut of our Modern Collection. The passion for construction, traditional tailoring and a 1960’s preppy vibe with over 50 years of rich graphic archive prints. The result is a re-engineered, re-scaled and re-colored collection, new and unique to a younger and more modern man.

The Classic collection uses the design of Reyn Spooner’s traditional Spooner Kloth, which was first introduced in 1964 and became known as the oxford cloth of the islands, the traditional hawaiian clothing. This cloth combines combed cotton with properties of spun polyester, which guarantees years of wash-n-wear durability. The Classic Collection offers prints from textile creator Alfred Shaheen, alongside Hawaiian artist collaborations including Dietrich Varez, Eddy Y and Naoki.
This Modern Collection was designed to appeal to a new generation of customers. In recent years, Reyn Spooner has also collaborated with fashion brands such as Urban Outfitters, Stussy, Transpac and Opening Ceremony to create exclusive apparel. Currently, Reyn Spooner operates seven retail stores in Hawaii and sells apparel in specialty and department stores throughout the United States, abroad, and online. Reyn Spooner has been worn by celebrities like George Clooney in the movie "The Descendants".
Reyn Spooner is now owned by Aloha Brands, representing a group of investors, led by Charlie Baxter.
